RNCM International Brass Band Festival 2025 - RNCM Brass Band
Sunday morning at the 2025 RNCM International Brass Band Festival welcomed the resident student band to the Concert Hall. Introduced by Simone Rebello and Emily Nicolas, the band was conducted by alumna Katrina Marzella-Wheeler in an eclectic programme opening with Simon Dobson's HorrowShow. Continuing the musical memory of Elgar Howarth, we hear his lively Mosaic directed by RNCM Conducting Master's student Harry Lai. Next, Derek Bourgeois' Trombone Concerto features world renowned trombonist David Bremner. Edward Gregson's intriguing Four Études are introduced by the composer and the concert concludes with Kelly-Marie Murphy's invigorating Drumming the Plain, the Horseman is Coming.
